There are hundreds of K9 training methods throughout the world today. Clickers, toys, treats, positive, negative, it can all be quite confusing. Our philosophy is simple. We want our working dogs to work with us and for us every single day. There is no need for clickers or toys, only pure communication. The methods we use date back thousands of years to when mankind relied on working dogs to not only be their companions, but for survival. We’re here to turn your pet into a companion that will trust you and work for you every day.

What to expect during training…

Your four legged friend will love training with The K9 Encounter. Our trainers are real dog men who put dogs first. We emphasize how our training is real world focused, and we mean it. We offer obedience and protection training in numerous environments. We will help you train your working dog in various public locations to ensure stability and focus everywhere you go. With our board and trains we provide our clients with weekly updates on training progress and strive to give you a peace of mind while your K9 partner is with us. We encourage weekly training sessions with clients to show and teach you everything your dog has learned.

After Board & Train…

Once your dog’s training is complete, it will have a solid foundation to build upon. We will walk you through how to implement every skill your working dog has learned, ensuring you, as a handler are comfortable and confident moving forward.
